My parents, Grace and Victor, had a longstanding friendship with Stan and Grace from their days at Princes St URC in Norwich. Sadly neither they nor Princes St Church are with us now.
They would have liked to say farewell to Stan.

Stan and his wife Grace were good friends of our parents, Brian and (the late) Sheila Towndrow. They met at Wigston Congregational Church - later URC - and their friendship endured long after Mum and Dad relocated to Cheshire. We recall Stan running the Junior Choir and his cheerful involvement in the life of the church.
Only weeks before he died, and despite being frail himself, Stan rang to enquire about our own dad's health. That is what he was like; the kindest, most thoughtful of men. He will be greatly missed.
Alison Towndrow and Catherine Durkee, daughters of Brian and Sheila Towndrow.

Such a lovely fella, he married us in 1989 and with his wife Grace were always there, in the background, with other family members, plenty of good times, never a crossed word, always saw the positives in life, sad occasion for family, proud to have known Stanley and Grace, inseparable and quite perfect together, now hopefully reunited again and forever.. love Rob & Claire Abell xx
